These prints represent several of my deepest interests: the craft of drawing, literature, and the beauty of Southern Illinois. The work is created in Adobe Illustrator on an iMac and using Adobe Fresco on an iPad.
The prints are designed to become part of a home. My work is guided by a concept I call drawingcraft. I believe that an object crafted for the home should be both beautiful and useful. My hope is that others will find my work beautiful and useful in the sense that it can be a comfort and inspiration in everyday life.
As Henri Matisse once said art can be ”a soothing, calming influence on the mind, something like a good armchair.”

My home is in Johnson County Illinois. I live on thirty acres of woodland and meadow. I share this roadside sanctuary with a dog named Alfie and a full measure of native plants and animals.
